Do you have a pet you love? Are you concerned about the pet's well-being if it outlives you? To learn the answers to these and other pet and planning questions, join us at the first annual Planned Giving Workshop presented by North Shore Animal League America (NSALA) on Tuesday, October 2 from 2 - 4 PM at the Roslyn Claremont Hotel, located at 1221 Old Northern Blvd., Roslyn, NY 11576.
My colleague Elizabeth Briand and I will speak about planned giving strategies and how they can be used to protect pets while helping support not-for-profits like North Shore Animal League of America.
Our practice is focused on representing clients who want to ensure that their assets are protected and their wishes are carried out, and that includes decisions about caring for surviving pets. Even Leona Helmsley’s well drafted plan for her dog Trouble did not get followed to the letter. By working with an organization like the Animal League, pet owners can ensure that their pet will have a loving home, while protecting their assets for the family.
Representatives from NSALA will be there, refreshments will be served and there will be guest puppies attending. The event is free, but reservations are required to ensure seating, which is limited to the first 100 - there's still room, so if you are interested, call us at 516-307-1236 and let us know if you want to join us.
